Sgt. Logan Theibolt (Zac Efron) and his fellow Marines are ambushed at night in the Iraqi war. (Pay close attention to this important scene.) Amidst the dirt and debris, a shiny object catches his eye that morning. Finding this photograph actually saves his life. Logan begins to believe that he has a guardian angel since he somehow continues to escape death’s clutches. Adjusting to life after war has been difficult for him. He may have come home, but his mind is still in combat mode. An incident with a family member forces him to reevaluate his situation. Logan decides to find his guardian angel and return the photo to its rightful owner.

uka tiger brown lay with each other. Taylor Schilling delivers the best performance of the film. She clearly overshadows Zac Efron in this one. Schilling does a great job of showing her emotions throughout. Check out how she watches him from a distance. You can read her emotions with every glance. This is something that Efron struggled with. His deadpan expressions throughout made their love less believable. His face hardly changes whether he’s supposed to be happy, sad, angry, or passionate. A more expressive actor would have made their romance so much better. As with many love stories, corny lines and dialogue are common. Are we to believe that Logan actually walked over a thousand miles just to find her? Both he and his dog would not have looked so clean and calm walking that far. Also, lines like “You should be kissed every day, every hour, every minute.” came across way too corny.
Bottom Line: Guys will find ‘The Lucky One’ silly while women will love it. It’s barely above average but still worth checking out.
